Family Tent — Njia Panda Tented Lodge
The Family Tent is the most immersive accommodation at Njia Panda — and the one guests talk about most when they get home. Canvas walls stretched over a timber frame let the sounds of the African night drift in around you: the calls of nightjars, the rustle of wind through the trees, the occasional bark of a bushbuck in the darkness. It is an experience that no solid-wall room can replicate.
Sleeping up to four guests, the tent features a king bed for the parents behind a canvas divider, and two single camp beds for the children in their own section. The outdoor shower — enclosed within a private bamboo enclosure open to the sky — is an experience in itself. The wide teak veranda looks directly into the forest, and in the mornings, the colobus monkeys sometimes cross overhead.
